It was a very lovely celebration of your Dads life. Thank you for the invitation .
My grandson and his mom drove down in his Papas Doge challenger . My daughter in law’s Dad is a car guy. My grandson is following in his footsteps and at 4 can name most cars and has around 300-400 hot wheels. And always wants more!
I was able to catch up with Georgia who I have not seen in a long time.
So sorry that your mom is suffering from memory loss. Her sweet disposition is still with her which is a blessing. I understand you moved in with her to help. I know that can’t be easy. You are a good daughter to take it all on.
Wishing you and all the family all good things
WOW! I know I hadn’t seen Steve since the ugly pandemic arrived, but this is a shocker for me. All the years I had done artwork and pinstriping for Steve are memories that I cherish dearly. I am so sorry for the family and Glenda having to live with the absence of his omnipotent personality. He was an exceptional human being. Rest in peace Steve and know you are sorely missed. Thank you for all the great memories.
Dear Steve
Life will be dimmer without you! “Windsburger” will have a huge empty spot, that can’t be filled by anyone else.
Every time I hear a hot V-8, or smell burning rubber I will think of you in Ukiah and Lake County as you tore up the tracks on warm summer evenings in the 1960s. Thank you for all you brought
To our community! We will miss you…..We do miss you!!
RIP Prayers and condolences from family and friends that attended Petaluma High with us. Loved your hot rod.
Rip Steve. Loved that yellow Willy’s liked talking cars and antiques and racing with you and Glenda. Always liked when I would call him to come over and check out a car or your collection Very special.
Dearest Castelli Family – We are forever grateful to have met Steve and had him in our lives. The multiple times we were able to run the wine bar at the NYD parties gave us the opportunity to visit with Steve and receive the warm embrace and smile that he always had for each of us. The wonderful stories about racing and collecting and making wine will always be in our hearts. Thank you for sharing with us. Cheers!
Love you Grandpa. You will never be forgotten. The legend of you will live on in all of us. Your stories and life will be passed down generations to generations, I can assure you that.
We miss you so much. You are a legend! Always working, making plans and doing! So creative.
Steve Castelli, a real man amongst men. A man than could do everything… A man that could do everything well… A man that “Did EVERYTHING WELL.” Steve went from working in a gas station to the owner of a speed shop in Petaluma, California.
To the owner of the top, supreme auto and truck wrecking yard in the County… With the super best location… Everyone knew where they could get the parts they needed. Whatever anyone needed for used parts, Castelli had them…
Yes, Steve Castelli, a man that got the job done… A man with a vision…A man who was always moving forward. His family never had a want… cause Steve always provided…
A great husband for his best friend Glenda with over 60 years of a successful marriage. Two beautiful daughters, Tina and Sheri, A wonderful father-in-law to Rob and Vic, A caring Grandpa to Luke, Spencer, Sarah and Stephanie and A proud Great-Grandpa for Elise… A wonderful Son-in-law for Glen and Eva. Glen said many, many times, Steve Castelli is the smartest man alive.
There isn’t anything that he cannot do and accomplish. I heard my father-in-law say these words many times… Each time I heard thers words, I agreed… Steve was always a great brother-in-law to Gloria and I and a great Uncle to our children.
A moment to list just a few of Steve’s accomplishments, I am aware of, don’t have time to list them everything…
Race Car Champion, Twice, maybe more.
Largest Corvette collection owner in the state, maybe the world??
Built his own Vineyard.
Numerous GOOD GUYS Awards… Yes, Steve was truly a Good Guy!
